Atacicept在免疫细胞运作中发挥关键作用，尤其对 CD19（+）、CD20（+）的 B 淋巴细胞和浆细胞有很强的亲和结合能力。当机体免疫系统启动，Atacicept 能快速识别并结合 B 细胞激活因子（BAFF）和增殖诱导配体（APRIL），阻断它们与 TACI 受体结合，抑制 B 细胞过度活化的信号传导。临床前研究和实验表明，Atacicept 可显著抑制多种自身免疫性疾病动物模型中 B 细胞的异常活化。如在系统性红斑狼疮模型中，能减少自身抗体产生，缓解肾脏和皮肤病变；在类风湿关节炎研究中，可调节免疫反应，减轻关节肿胀疼痛，改善关节功能；在干燥综合征研究中，能改善唾液腺和泪腺炎症，减轻口干、眼干症状。因此，Atacicept 在自身免疫性疾病发病机制研究和新型免疫调节药物研发中具有重要价值。
