CD59是一种19 ~ 25 kD的糖基化磷脂酰肌醇（GPI）锚定糖蛋白，也称为保护蛋白、MACIF和H19。广泛表达于造血细胞和非造血细胞。CD59通过与C9结合、抑制C5b-8的掺入以及阻止膜攻击复合物的补体聚合的末端步骤来抑制补体的细胞溶解活性。CD59也被报道在T细胞活化中起作用。
